2013 Viva Volunteers!

Our Annual Viva Volunteers was held on Friday, October 18, 2013

Our annual benefit, Viva Volunteers was victorious this year with a wonderful celebration.
Over 150 attendees enjoyed the evening with a silent auction, great presentations and very deserving award recipients.

vivaEvery year the Community Partner Award is presented to an organization or business that supports Greater Cleveland Volunteer. The Cleveland Foundation has supported Greater Cleveland Volunteers since 1982. Over its 31 years of support, the Foundation has provided nearly $1.7 million in grants.
In recent years, the Foundations’ funding has been focused primarily on supporting the AARP Foundation Experience Corps program.


vivaThe David F. Leahy Award for volunteer excellence went to Bruce Amsel. Bruce volunteers for several of our partner agencies. He was nominated by Cleveland Metroparks because of his outstanding service to the Park District for nearly 13 years. Bruce performs a variety of volunteer roles such as; a bicycle tour assistant, a children’s history club assistant, helping at special events, conducting historical research for presentations and assisting park visitors at the front desk at the CanalWay Visitor Center.
