Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to help students become better, more fluent readers.
We’re looking for people who:- Are age 50 or older
- Can volunteer time to tutor and mentor children who need basic literacy skills and guidance
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Can complete at least 20 hours of training
- Agree to and can pass a criminal background check
- Can serve at least four hours a week from October-May
- Are available two days a week during school hours
