Help make a German holiday experience a success in Northeast Ohio, by helping pour hot drinks, baking, selling and delivering pretzels, helping with admission or as a cashier or with parking on the weekend of December 7th and 8th in the Parma area. Free parking, snacks and beverages. Dress for the weather; this is an outdoor event. Holiday attire encouraged, but not mandatory. Volunteers also needed Wednesday the 4th- Friday the 6th to decorate and set up.

Make temporary housing feel like home to those waiting for an organ transplant. Volunteers are asked to help with chores and small "fix-it" tasks from replacing lightbulbs to tightening door handles to replenishing magazine displays, to sweeping porches. Help is needed in the University Circle neighborhood from Monday- Friday 9am-5pm weekly.

Hospice volunteers bring comfort to patients and their loved ones in a variety of ways, including fundraising efforts. Your efforts can contribute to a successful Warehouse Sale in the Collinwood Neighborhood on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, December 8th. Assistance is needed for 3 shifts, on Saturday 7:30 am-12:00 pm or 11:30 am -4:00 pm and on Sunday 11:30 am-4:00 pm Moving furniture or sales floor help. Free parking, light snacks and beverages provided. Dress according to weather as the warehouse is not heated or air conditioned. Wear jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts and casual comfortable shoes.

Getting a GED is a big accomplishment, help make it happen. If you have a passion for continued education, here is your chance to help support that journey! Volunteers are needed in person (Clark-Fulton Neighborhood) or virtually, to tutor individuals. Help is needed Monday- Thursday with various shifts available.

- How long before I can volunteer?Answer:
The onboarding process varies by agency. Volunteer opportunities in the medical and social services fields usually have additional requirements (training sessions, immunizations), which can take up to two months to complete. Some opportunities will allow you to volunteer almost immediately. - Are background checks required?Answer:
All AARP Foundation Experience Corps Tutors are required to undergo a background check via Greater Cleveland Volunteers. All other volunteers may be subject to a background check depending on the agency and type of volunteer opportunity. - I have court ordered community service to do.Answer:
We recommend that individuals with court ordered community service consult our Events Calendar. This will be the best option in achieving required hours. After reviewing the calendar, contact the staff member listed to sign up to volunteer at one or more of the Events. - I am under age 18. My family would like to volunteer together. Can you help me?Answer:
Our agency works with volunteers aged 18 and over. Some of our partner agencies welcome families to volunteer together or have youth volunteering programs. We have a complete list of family/youth friendly agencies which offer a variety of volunteer opportunities and would be happy to pass on the information.
